Our history
In 2005 a group of enthusiastic technicians, marketeers and entrepreneurs gave the nod to research and develop a highly innovative computer security program. A software program that would succeed in halting the increasing amount of unwelcome computer use. Prior to actually starting with this development, a thorough market research study was carried out amongst future target groups.
These target groups comprised:
- Parents and carers of children between 6 to 16 years of age
- School organisations with more than 14,000 pupils in this same age group
- Companies involved in assessing and advising on the pros and cons of ICT related bottlenecks in everyday business
In addition we large number of societal organisations also participated in this study.
Having completed the study there was only one conclusion:
Consumers, schools and companies are immensely fed up with unwelcome computer use: contact with dishonest people, threatening chats, deception, bullying, cyber sex appear to have become the accepted norm in the absence of technical solutions. Gaming and gambling addiction, visiting unwelcome websites, unlimited surfing during school and work hours; all are a thorn in the management's side.
Today
More than 5 years later and our objective has been reached; YourSafetynet for the Home, at School and at Work is here. Thanks to the contribution made by our target groups, YourSafetynet is not only the ‘Number 1 in simplicity', but also the first security program to offer a total solution in the fight against unwelcome computer use.
Tomorrow
