If a pupil feels threatened or if an unwelcome situation arises on a school computer the pupil can save all the images and texts as a screenshot with one simple click on the ‘alarm button’.
How does the alarm button work?
With this function enabled YourSafetynet places a red alarm button alongside the clock in the Windows System tray. With a single click on the button the user can save a screenshot. All images and text visible on the screen at that moment in time are saved, along with the date and time.
Aside from the fact that the presence of an Alarm button provides extra support to young people in particular, when exploring the internet and new media, the information gathered with this function can also be used as evidence in any unwelcome situations that may arise. The Alarm button can also be used to notify the manager of wrongful blocks.
