Internet and media filter

The internet and media filter protects pupils against inappropriate websites and helps them to use media such as YouTube, chatting, online games and social networks such as Facebook safely.

How do the internet and media filters work?

The unique YourSafetynet filter provides in blocking or allowing specific categories, including websites, games and software. With this pre-selection it is very easy for the manager to set up a specific set of rules for each security profile. The filter categories are updated on a regular basis to ensure new websites are included automatically.

YourSafetynet has filter groups for the internet and the media. The internet filter contains categories such as sex, gambling, drugs, pro-ana and webmail. The media filter contains categories such as chatting, gaming, social networks (Facebook), p2p, and audio and video streaming. You can add your own selection of prohibited websites or software to the "My Internet" and "My Media" categories.
